Local Legends Series

The Cherokee tell of a race of short, blonde, blue-eyed people living in the caves near present day Murphy, NC. The little people spoke with a Welsh dialect. They could only emerge at night because their eyes were so fair and that is why they were known as the Moon Eyed People.

Originally released as part of the “Local Legends” group art exhibition at the Wedge at Foundation in Asheville, NC.
